It's soft and moist, with a rich, deep chocolate flavor, and no taste of garbanzo flour (I doubt it's even made with that).

Re: List of Gluten Free Pizza Places in Seattle

where's jet city? The fact that it's made in a facility that also processes wheat products make it much harder to be certain.

Re: List of Gluten Free Pizza Places in Seattle

Thank you Doug! This is the best gluten-free place I have been!! We went in many times and I would recommend it to anyone in Seattle (or visiting). Very friendly staff and wonderful gluten-free goodies. Monkey bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and Spanish rolls (double YUM!!). Next time I am in Seattle I will be there!!

Re: Luciano’s Gluten Free Pizza in West Seattle

You bring up a great point Ami. I haven't spoken to this shop about that. I know that Garlic Jims is very aware and only uses corn meal flour (GF) in the restaurants and takes other measures to prevent cross contamination. It definitely is a tough part of being celiac and makes eating out a pretty big risk.

Re: Five Fish Bistro | Gluten Free Fish and Chips in Seattle | Capitol Hill

Thanks Ami! I had heard they carry GF fish and chips at 50 North, but haven't made it out there yet. I definitely have to try Tango as well.

Re: Five Fish Bistro | Gluten Free Fish and Chips in Seattle | Capitol Hill

Just so you know: Fifty North across the street from U. Village has GF fish and chips. using a dedicated GF deep fryer. ... They're only OK, but that restaurant does go to some great effort to accommodate GF-ers. ... As does our favorite place, Tango, on Cap. Hill, which has a dedicated GF menu. (You still have to be sure not to order things that go into the fryer, such as their onion strips that garnish the steak), as it's not GF-only.

Re: Luciano’s Gluten Free Pizza in West Seattle

Wondering about the cross-contamination issues? Do they have a separate oven and keep the prep of their GF offerings separate? Flour is such a flyaway substance, wondering if they have ways of containing it? A NYC place we love to go to goes to the extreme of having separate kitchens. ... Hardly expect that anytime soon in Seattle, but curious how restaurants might be contending w/ the issue. Thanks for any info you may have.

Re: Coffee and… A Specialty Bakery | Gluten Free Downtown Seattle

Friendly service is definitely one of the reasons I go back. I got a groupon from them a couple months back and the mini cupcakes were delicious. I got some super rich chocolate with nutella frosting and some blackberry with lemon buttercream. My boyfriend didn't realize they were GF until I smacked him around for eating my cupcakes.
The only downside is that they don't have a retail location so you have to special order from the website.

Re: Coffee and… A Specialty Bakery | Gluten Free Downtown Seattle

Music to my ears.
